Indiana Division

Thank you for visiting the homepage of Indiana’s premier providers of Mental Health Services.  While Marriage and Family Therapists are expertly trained to provide services to Couples and Families, we also provide counseling and therapy services for a wide variety of issues to children, adolescents, individuals, adults, school, corporations, and government entities.

We can do this by being trained in systems theory, at both the Masters and Doctoral level, at an accredited higher education institution and then obtaining licensure through the Behavioral Health Board of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.  This licensing process is rigorous and requires at least 2000 hours of “in-session” supervision as well as a comprehensive test of our skills prior to licensure.

This website is designed to provide information for our members and the public, who may be seeking the services of, or more information about, a Marriage and Family Therapist.  Please explore the site to find out more about us!  However, if you have any questions, comments, or ideas please feel free to contact your area board member, our office staff, or myself.

Kurt H. Gregory, M.S., L.M.F.T.

Past President, IAMFT

The IAMFT Board of Directors Welcomes Your Donations!!!

Since IAMFT is a 501(C6) organization, it can accept donations to support the promotion of our profession.  Some of those donations are entirely tax deductible since they do not go to support any lobbying efforts. In 2007, the Board of Directors established an account to provide conference scholarships to students who applied based on need.  Donations from members are appreciated by the students and by those of us who desire to see our discipline strengthened by new, well trained professionals.

General donations are also accepted and are tax deductible at the 65% level which reflects our use of general funds to enlist the aid of our lobbyist, Mark Scherer.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to make any size donation.  Make checks payable to:  IAMFT
Please mail donations to:  IAMFT Central Office, 2346 S. Lynhurst Drive, Suite D101, Indianapolis, IN 46241
Write “scholarship donation” or “general donation” on the memo line.

IAMFT provides at least conferences per year with trainings focused on theory, clinical application, and ethics. CE’s apply to members and other behavioral health professionals.
Provide a lobbyist who is regularly at the statehouse monitoring legislation that could impact our license here in Indiana.  Advocacy is key to help us sustain both the quality and availability of mental health services for Hoosiers.  It also supports the continuance of high clinical and ethical standards for the profession.
One of the greatest benefits is the opportunity to network with other MFTs for support and accountability.
Numerous leadership opportunities are available to serve on the Board as a Region Representative, Member at Large, Officer or Committee.
